Spring (March–May)
Spring sees temperatures of 15–22 °C, perfect for rock climbing on the limestone walls. Hikers enjoy blooming meadows with snow-capped peaks as a backdrop. From April, the canyoning season begins as meltwater fills the gorges. Mountain bikers benefit from quiet trails before the summer tourism rush.
Summer (June–August)
Summer brings temperatures of 25–32 °C, ideal for water-based adventures. Canyoning, kayaking, and swimming in Lake Garda are top activities. Climbers head to higher-altitude or shaded sectors like Massone and Nago during cooler morning and evening hours. Evenings are perfect for strolling through the old town and savouring Italian cuisine.
Autumn (September–November)
Autumn is widely considered the best climbing season in Arco. Stable weather, pleasant 15–25 °C temperatures, and fewer crowds make September and October ideal. Autumn foliage adds a special atmosphere to hikes and bike tours. November traditionally hosts the legendary Rock Master Festival – a must for climbing enthusiasts.
Winter (December–February)
Winter in Arco remains appealing. On sunny days, temperatures reach 8–12 °C, allowing sport climbing on south-facing walls. Hikers and trail runners find peaceful paths with stunning panoramas. For alpine skiing, resorts at Monte Bondone or Paganella are less than an hour's drive away.
